The difficulty curve is immense, and, after a while I found myself only using Fire Wizards because they were the only ones with splash damage. Plus it was annoying that the upgrades for the towers only upgraded the damage, because the fact that you could only put the towers in set places meant that it was difficult to make good use of their ranges.
On the plus does, it does look nice, and it's fun despite being a little too hard.

I actually have to give this five stars. Because it does exactly what a game is supposed to do. Which is be really, really fun! It's rare to find a game on Newgrounds which is this enjoyable to play.
The controls are simple, the graphics are effective, it's funny, original, and overall brilliant! I have no criticism! It even ended before it got boring.
I absolutely loved it.

I'm not into this kind of thing, really.. but it was addictive! Finally finished it after lots of mistakes. :P I'm glad you didn't put any 'action' in it, as people have been looking for, it seems. It was good without it. I'd like to suggest perhaps getting some more music for it. Maybe a song for each area?
Other than that, it's very well done. I enjoyed it.
Survived the day, saved my wife, A tactics and A+ compassion. Pretty proud of myself. :)

Don't get me wrong, I like arty games, but this seems a bit simple. Like you didn't put enough effort into the actual programming, just making it look nice.
Some of the sounds loop badly, the controls are a tad.. unrealistic, and the collision detection isn't great in places (No, I'm not stupid enough to think the bit where you fall through the platforms isn't deliberate. I'm talking about -other- platforms).

Other than that, it's a nice game. It looks good, there's some good ideas going on, and the plot is decent enough.

If you could work on what I mentioned, you could make this game a much more fantastic piece than it is.

That was an enjoyable experience.
The animation fitted the music well, although it seemed a little random at times. Perhaps if it were a little more in tune with the topic of the song?

Nevertheless, very good. A worthwhile prize for my time.

Brilliant short! Left me wanting more, though. If you could make a whole story like this, I know it would be fantastic. I love your animation, and I love the way you seemed to be mocking that it was 2D.
Overall, fantastic. If you cleaned up the animation and the fonts a little (only a little, mind, I like the rough feel, this would get 10/10.
